In my role with CGD, I am responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of programs, ensuring proper execution of key grant activities, and managing partner alignment and communications. For the BASICS program, this means partnering with commercial cassava farms to establish sustainable seed business units. These will utilize new lab technology, paired with commercial nursery best practices, to optimize stem production, tuber yield, processing characteristics and unit profitability.
