Mr Fox is an applied plant virologist with 20 years of experience in the fields of plant virus diagnostics and virus epidemiology. He heads the Plant Virology team at Fera and is responsible for the provision of virus diagnostics to UK Government, overseas governments, commercial customers and the CABI Plantwise initiative utilising conventional diagnostic technologies such as ELISA and real-time PCR as well as advanced technologies such as Next Generation Sequencing (‘DNA Deep Sequencing’).
